World Literature Blogs
In our ninth grade class, we have updated the blogs we created last year as eighth graders. Some students opted to start from scratch instead. Here is a post with the links to their blogs. The World Literature course blog posts cover various topics such as author biographies, journal reflections, story summaries, and reviews. Students also poll each other and ask forum questions about the authors, themes, and characters in the pieces we cover in class and pieces they cover on their own for the Accelerated Reader program. I showed the students how to design their sites using wix.com, and we manage them throughout the school year as an ongoing project. The students' individual writing styles and personalities are showcased on each site. This interactive project also helps exercise their critical thinking and collaborative skills. I hope you enjoy reading their work as much as I do!
