American Literature Blogs

In order to help students express themselves, connect with literature and share their work with friends and family all while utilizing technology, they create and manage literature blogs in my class. This is a project that both my ninth and tenth grade students engage in. The ninth grade ones are featured in a previous post. The tenth grade class has American Literature with me so the topics vary from puritan poetry to colonial narratives to Native American myths to other types of classic literature created by American authors. They also include their reflections on the various readings and topics we discuss in class, connections they feel to characters or authors, their personal or academic goals, and their reviews on other books they read on their own. They work hard on these websites, and I hope you enjoy viewing them.

The links for their sites are posted below.
